Live Courses
Live courses on Euron Systems enable you to teach real-time classes with video conferencing, interactive whiteboards, screen sharing, and attendance tracking. Students join scheduled sessions and interact with you directly.
Overview
Live courses are ideal for:
- Coaching and mentoring programs
- Exam preparation batches
- Corporate training sessions
- Workshop-style hands-on learning
- Language learning classes
Creating a Live Course
Step 1: Basic Setup
- Go to Courses → Create New Course and select Live.
- Enter the course title, description, and thumbnail.
- Set the total duration (e.g., "8 weeks, 3 sessions per week").
Step 2: Schedule Sessions
- Open the Schedule tab in the course editor.
- Click Add Session for each class.
- For each session, configure:
- Date & Time — When the session occurs
- Duration — Typical session length (30 min to 3 hours)
- Topic — What will be covered in this session
- Instructor — Assign the session to a team member (if applicable)
Tip: You can create recurring sessions — for example, "Every Monday and Wednesday at 7 PM" — and the system will auto-generate all session dates.
Step 3: Configure Live Class Settings
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Auto-Recording | Automatically record sessions for later viewing |
| Chat | Enable/disable text chat during the session |
| Screen Sharing | Allow instructor and/or students to share screens |
| Whiteboard | Enable the interactive whiteboard tool |
| Raise Hand | Students can virtually raise their hand |
| Polls | Run live polls during the session |
| Breakout Rooms | Split students into smaller groups for activities |
Step 4: Attendance Tracking
Euron Systems automatically tracks attendance for every live session:
- Students are marked Present when they join and stay for at least 70% of the session duration.
- Students who join late or leave early are marked Partial.
- Absent students are automatically notified via email or WhatsApp.
- Attendance reports are available under Analytics → Attendance.
Running a Live Session
- 15 minutes before the session, you will receive a reminder notification.
- Click Start Session from the course dashboard or the notification.
- The live classroom opens in a new tab with your video feed.
- Students join using the link provided in their dashboard and email.
- Use the toolbar to share your screen, open the whiteboard, or launch a poll.
- When finished, click End Session. The recording is processed automatically.
Recordings
All recorded sessions are:
- Automatically attached to the course curriculum
- Available for students to rewatch at any time
- Protected with DRM (on Pro plans and above)
- Downloadable by instructors (but not students, by default)
You can manage recordings under Course → Recordings. Delete, re-upload, or edit the recording metadata as needed.
Best Practices
- Test your setup before the first session — check camera, microphone, and internet speed.
- Start on time — students appreciate punctuality.
- Engage regularly — use polls, Q&A, and breakout rooms to keep students active.
- Share session notes after each class as a text or PDF lesson.
- Set homework between sessions to reinforce learning.
