DRM & Protection
Protecting your course content from piracy and unauthorized sharing is critical. Euron Systems provides multiple layers of content protection powered by VdoCipher and proprietary security technologies.
DRM (Digital Rights Management)
How It Works
DRM encrypts your video content so that it can only be played by authorized users through approved applications. Even if someone manages to download the encrypted file, they cannot play it without the decryption key.
Euron Systems supports three major DRM standards:

DRM Levels
- Standard DRM — Software-level DRM available on all Pro plans
- Hardware DRM (Widevine L1) — Hardware-backed encryption for maximum security, available on Business plans
Enabling DRM
DRM is enabled automatically for all video uploads on Pro plans and above. No configuration is needed — just upload your video and it is protected.
Anti-Screen Recording
In addition to DRM, Euron Systems employs anti-screen recording measures:
- Screen Recording Detection — Detects screen recording software and pauses playback
- HDCP Enforcement — Requires HDCP-compliant displays for playback
- Browser Detection — Blocks playback in unauthorized or modified browsers
Watermarking
Add visible or forensic watermarks to identify the source of leaks:
Visible Watermarks
- Display the student's name or email on the video player
- Customizable position, size, opacity, and color
- Moving watermark option to prevent easy removal
Forensic Watermarks
- Invisible watermarks embedded in the video stream
- If a pirated copy is found, the watermark can be extracted to identify which student shared it
- Available on Business plans and above
Access Controls
Additional content protection measures:
- Device Limits — Restrict the number of devices per student (e.g., max 3 devices)
- IP Restrictions — Limit access to specific IP ranges (for corporate training)
- Concurrent Stream Limits — Prevent account sharing by limiting simultaneous streams
- Session Timeout — Automatically log out idle sessions
- Download Prevention — Disable right-click and developer tools on the video player page
